Worldwide the number of COVID-19 cases is rapidly increasing the demand for Telehealth.
Nextcare the region’s leading and largest Third Party Administrator for the medical insurance industry has expanded its telehealth footprint to Bahrain in partnership with Solidarity Bahrain B.S.C, one of the largest insurance companies in the kingdom of Bahrain. Members insured under Solidarity Bahrain will now have access to the video call medical advice service “See a Doctor” through the MyNextcare app, to assure the safety of its members.
Members can speak to a doctor through video calling from the MyNextcare app. They can ask for treatment advice and receive a medical assessment from the doctor, at no cost or co-pay. The “See a Doctor” service is provided by Health at Hand – a Dubai Health Authority licensed telehealth service provider with qualified doctors who speak Arabic and English. The service has seen triple figure growth month on month during the COVID-19 pandemic, since its launch in some other countries in the region.
“Nextcare has been among the first in the region to introduce a high quality of secure video medical advice service. Keeping members safe and peaceful is a priority for us especially in such challenging circumstances”, stated Ms. Layla Abdulla, General Manager of Nextcare in Bahrain.
With the pandemic keeping people in their homes, Nextcare were quick to respond to the change in the market and supporting government mandate by making the “See a Doctor” video medical advice service available to members.
As a first phase, Solidarity Bahrain members can access the service through a quick registration on the MyNextcare app or its web version, and connect to a trusted licensed doctor within minutes through the ‘See a Doctor’ icon on the homescreen. The service will be made available to more members in Bahrain soon.
